Towards an Aetiology of Psychedelic Visions: A Neurocultural Framework
Abstract
We propose a neurocultural framework in which psychedelic visions arise through four interacting stages: priming, acute dynamics, post-hoc narrative stabilisation, and re-priming - each of which can be analysed at both cultural and neurocognitive levels.
