Aotearoa MDMA Use and Users Survey
Abstract
The primary aim of this research is to describe MDMA use parameters in NZ. Additionally, it will elucidate use motivation, subjective experience, long term consequences of use, harm (and dependence), harm reduction behaviours, and comment on how these factors are associated with individual personality factors, mental health, and perception of, and attitudes towards, MDMA. These findings will inform future work regarding harm reduction practices for individuals and organizations as well as drug education. Furthermore, by sufficiently describing MDMA use and users, this research will likely reduce stigma surrounding drug use, and provide insights for future drug policy changes within Aotearoa New Zealand.
