Abstract
This study is a national Swedish multicenter observational study evaluating the effectiveness and safety of intravenous (IV) ketamine treatment for depression in routine clinical practice. The study combines retrospective chart review data (2015-2025) with prospective observational follow-up (2026-2030) among patients receiving IV ketamine in specialist psychiatric services. The primary aim is to improve knowledge regarding the real-world use, effectiveness, safety, predictors of treatment response, and long-term outcomes of IV ketamine for depression. The study also includes collection of biological samples for future biomarker and pharmacokinetic analyses.
