Psychedelic Research Database: Journals, Articles & Preprints
Abstract
A database of 1,803 psychedelic research publications, published between February 10, 2025 and September 19, 2026. It includes 1,475 peer-reviewed journal articles and 113 conference abstracts from 588 journals, plus 215 preprints from 16 preprint servers. Summary tables rank journals by the number of peer-reviewed articles they published. Records were retrieved weekly from OpenAlex using search terms, such as psilocybin, MDMA, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), ayahuasca, mescaline, and 5-MeO-DMT, then screened for relevance, duplicates, and source type. Ibogaine was added as a search term on September 18, 2026, so ibogaine coverage is limited. More detailed methods, inclusion criteria, and column definitions are in the README sheet of the Excel file. The CSV contains the article list only.
