Professional Characteristics in Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy: Scoping Review Protocol
Abstract
This scoping review aims to map the professional backgrounds and roles of practitioners involved in delivering psilocybin-assisted therapy across jurisdictions where it has been adopted in clinical practice. While psilocybin-assisted therapy is supported by a growing body of clinical evidence, and countries such as Switzerland, Canada, and Australia have established regulatory mechanisms allowing its medical use under specific conditions, little is known about the practitioners involved. This study seeks to clarify their professional roles, required qualifications, and therapeutic responsibilities.
