Abstract
As the US faces an ever growing mental health crisis, and the need for novel and effective mental health care only becomes more urgent. Psilocybin has been investigated as a potential treatment for various forms of common mental illness, contrary to its schedule I designation. This scoping review will identify, assess, and summarize studies wherein the administration of psilocybin has yielded outcome(s) providing evidence for a medical use.
