Impact of Publicity on Young Adults' Attitudes Towards Psychedelic and Caffeine Consumption
Abstract
Despite growing publicity surrounding the clinical benefits of psychedelic drugs, little research has been conducted on its influence on young adults' attitudes towards recreational use. This study aims to investigate how exposure to prominent narratives—specifically, Michael Pollan's discussions on the psychological benefits of psychedelics—alters young adults' perceptions of psychedelic drug use. Additionally, the study seeks to examine whether similar exposure to discussions on caffeine impacts attitudes towards caffeine consumption.
