Systematic Review of the research on psychedelics' impact on peripheral inflammatory markers and subsequent comparison with existing literature and systematic review(s) on standard anti-depressants' impact on peripheral inflammatory markers. Purpose is to discuss whether a differential effect on inflammation may play a role in psychedelics' successful treatment of depressed patients with multiple unsuccessful antidepressant treatment attempts (treatment-resistant depression).
